NSS CLUB INCHARGE: MRS. ANJALI

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (N.S.S)

National Service Scheme (N.S.S) of 44 model is active since last 11 Years under the leadership of Programme Officer Mrs. Anjali with enrolled 100 Volunteers. The team of NSS lives upto their Motto “Not Me But You”

They are active all through the year and their participation in “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is laudable. They not only keep the school clean but also help in keeping the whole sector clean and tidy. They also strive to keep their adopted village “Burail” clean.

Volunteers spread the awareness about social evils by presenting Nukkad Nataks, Poems, Stories and Dramas etc.

NSS Volunteers also take part in Camps organized in the school from time to time. They pledge to give the self less service to the society.

Volunteers provide their selfless service to polio drives, Mid Day Meal and Traffic drives

3 One Day Camps

And one Special Camp from 15th December 2018 to 21st December 2018.

ACTIVITIES UNDER NSS (2019)

  • NSS Volunteers took part in state Level 5 Day Youth Leadership and Personality Development Training Programme at GMSSS-23/A, Chandigarh from 27th June 2019 to 1st July 2019 by State NSS Cell.
  • Celebrated 5th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2019
  • Took pledge and Poster making Competition on “No Tobacco Day”
  • Cleanliness drive at School Campus.
  • Took pledge for Lok Sabha Elections.
  • Pledge and Lecture on Dengue Prevention in School.
  • Training Programme for NSS Volunteers.
  • NSS Volunteers spread awareness regarding Lok Sabha Elections 2019 through the means of Jaago, Plays and Slogans.
  • Cleanliness of School Premises.
  • Painting of Pots.
  • Cleanliness drive around the school boundary wall.
  • Awareness among students and their neighbors about cleanliness.
  • Save Girl Child and Shiksha Sabka Adhikar Hai.
  • Through Posters lecturers and Plays etc.
  • Road Safety Awareness campaign

HEALTH CLUB

  • Lectures on health and hygiene in the Morning Assembly for students & Parents are also aware about this
  • Dietician from Sector-19 dispensary. Medical checkup of each and every child by the Doctors of Sector-19 dispensary
  • Students are asked told to wash hands before and after meals.
  • Students are made aware about the Dengue, E-bola, Malaria & T.B

 

LIST OF MEDICINES

  • Iron & Folic Acid for Classes 6th to 12th Every Monday (42 Tablets) 
  • Albendazole for all 1st to 12th one tablet for one child in Six Months.
  • Iron syrup for 1st to 5th classes one spoon daily (One Bottle) for one month.

Department of Environment provides the grant from time to time to celebrate the important days to create awareness among the students to save our environment hence forth to love and protect our mother Earth.

The Eco Club of the school has initiated a ‘Go Green Campaign’

Around 60 Students of the school are active members of the club. The club aims to sensitize the students about the ‘Mother Earth’ The members Celebrate the various days with great enthusiasm.

Various activities undertaken are:-

  • Rallies to make our Neighbourhood aware about the Mother Earth.
  • Quizes, Declamations, Debates, Speeches are held to celebrate the occasions.
  • Anti Cracker Campaign is worth mentioning when the students pledge to shun the use of Crackers and take out rallies with full enthusiasm to spread the awareness in Sector-44, Chandigarh

ACTIVITIES UNDER CULTURAL CLUB-2019

 

Students are encouraged to show their talent in this club. Various days are celebrated in the morning Assembly like Diwali, Dussehra, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Gandhi Jyanti, Guru Nanak Dev Ji birthday, National Unity and many more.

 

  • Students perform Folk Dances & Songs on special days and events.
  • Poems related to the Day, Fancy Dress by Tiny Tots.
  • Celebrates Teej – ‘Festival of Swings”
  • Baisakhi Celebration with Giddha and Bhangra
  • Diya making, Candle decoration and Rangoli competition on the occasion of Diwali.
  • Lohri Celebration.
  • Mehendi Competition on the occassion of Karwa Chauth.
  • Celebrates Christmas with card making and poster making competition.
