550th birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji
The 550th birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji was celebrated with great devotion and fervour by Principal, staff and students of 44 model on 26/11/19. The auspicious day unfurled with recital of prayers, melodious and spiritual kirtan. Students from other schools too recited the shabads.
Community kitchen, The Langar was the most remarkable event of the day. The Langar, prepared and distributed by staff and students aimed to promote oneness, equality, love and brotherhood among the diverse students. Aim was to exemplify the students to live up to Naam japna, kirat karna and Vand chhakna. All private schools of sector 44 along with schools under this cluster were invited. It was matter of immense proud to welcome the delegations of private schools and Heads of 6 member schools along with 1 teacher and 5 students each. Delicious Langar was served and relished by approximately 1200 staff and students of various schools. This whole event was an endeavour by staff and students under the guidance of Principal, Mrs. Asha Rani.
